How do I know if counselling is right for me?Counselling can be a powerful tool for anyone seeking support, whether you're dealing with specific challenges like anxiety, grief, or relationship issues, or simply looking to better understand your thoughts and behaviours. The key to effective therapy is the connection between you and your therapist. No matter how experienced a therapist is, real healing comes from feeling comfortable and understood. That’s why it’s essential to find a therapist with whom you feel a genuine bond. If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, I invite you to book a free 15-minute online consultation. During this session, we can discuss your concerns and see if we’re a good fit. Remember, it's perfectly okay to seek someone else if the connection doesn’t feel right—your mental health and well-being are the priority, and finding the right therapist can make all the difference in your journey toward well-being and balance.

Counsellor or Psychologist: Which is right for me?Choosing between a counsellor and a psychologist depends on your specific needs and the type of support you’re seeking. If you are dealing with life transitions, stress, relationship issues, grief, behavioural patterns..., therapy with a counsellor can be incredibly helpful. Counsellors provide therapeutic support, often referred as talk therapy, using techniques like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Solution-Focused Therapy to help you navigate emotional and situational challenges. On the other hand, if you are experiencing more severe or chronic mental health issues, such as clinical anxiety, depression or conditions that require diagnosis and structured treatment, seeing a psychologist may be more appropriate. Psychologists, including clinical psychologists, are trained to diagnose mental health conditions and often specialize in specific areas of mental illness. Ultimately, both counselling and therapy offer valuable support. The key is finding the right professional who aligns with your needs and can help you towards healing and emotional and mental well-being.

What can I expect from a counselling session? In our sessions, you can expect a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings. Throught questioning and listening to your answers, I will help you reflect on your thoughts and experiences, uncovering new insights along the way. There's no pressure to have all the answers right away—sometimes it’s about allowing yourself time and space to make sense of things. We will work together to identify what matters most you, develop strategies, and work toward finding clarity and personal growth, tailoring each session to your unique needs.
